Days wasted doing what you like are not wasted!

I have to give myself some credit for basically being alive. My mom decided that I am grown up enough to live on my own so basically gave me the house keys and said "Take care and try not to burn down the house". She is away for a few days (3 days) and I am solely responsible for the house, man! I am loving it.

"Every day I want to start asking myself ' what you want to do with the next 24 hours?'. Do I have something specific to achieve. Write it down if I have to. It doesn't matter how much of it I can get done. It's important that I make yourself aware that something must be done. No matter how much I detest it."

Last two days have been a flurry of things and getting work done became a task. Right from getting dinner made to watching a movie, it felt like I was spreading myself too thin and for no reason at all! So this morning I wrote down everything I wanted to do. I decided to talk to my family, sleep (a lot), watch a show, make lunch, make dinner and go out for a walk. Although my walk plan was a cancelled because it rained. We basically had a "deluge" type situation in the city I live in! :)

All I did to get work done was simple, I switched off the internet for a few hours. Cut down on the talking and basically just do things. Not look for an apt time. Also, I realized all I had to was give myself some timeline. I gave myself all of 20 minutes to get my entire dinner ready! I got it done. I did not flip out or anything, know why? I was having a good time. Music in the back,  food smell a wafting through the kitchen and some chocolate while I was waiting for it to get done.  Also, no consequences if I screwed up my food because I was the only one to eat it.
